A Romanian construction worker has died after being trapped for hours under a collapsed section of the 95-foot, 787-year-old Torre dei Conti near the Colosseum in Rome. Emergency crews worked late into the night on Monday, rescuing the man before he later died in hospital. A second Romanian worker was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
